Welcome back to my page! I’m 100% a homebody – my apartment is my happy place.
I’m honestly blanking on writing the into and outro to this post so let’s just go ahead and jump on into it.
Here are a few of my favorite home essentials!
GLADE AUTOMATIC SPRAY
There is nothing more welcoming than opening the front door to a fresh smelling home! I’ve always been a candle and wax-warmer lover, but recently I’ve been swearing by Glade Automatic Spray. I keep one in my living room and one in my kitchen, and my apartment always smells its very best. I love that they’re battery operated so you don’t have to worry about leaving something plugged in all day, and the scent options are endless!

REUSABLE GROCERY BAGS
Having large reusable bags has made grocery shopping so much easier! I’m not good at bagging my groceries, and I’m even worse at it when I’m being rushed (aka every Long Island checkout). Thanks to these big bags, I can toss a lot of stuff in and don’t have to worry about my bags busting open. Plus, better for the environment!

NINJA COFFEE BAR

There are few things more important in our home than a good cup of coffee. We have used our Ninja Coffee Bar almost every single day for the last 2 years and we are so happy with it! I love that you can also make ice coffee (I’m not a fan of hot), and the fact that it also comes with a milk frother. We have a coffee cart set up in our kitchen, and our Ninja is definitely the star of the show! Since purchasing, I’ve stopped making daily Starbucks runs before work.

(I’m having a hard time finding an in-stock link to the version I use. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the other models though!)
Door Organizer

We moved to a different apartment back in January and unfortunately, there is a little less storage space here. Using a shoe organizer was an idea I found on Pinterest and it’s helped so much! All of the random things that don’t really have a place, now do.

Duvet | Duvet Cover

I can say with 100% honesty that my bed is the most comfortable one I’ve ever slept in. If you’re going to invest in a piece of furniture, invest in your mattress! I’m in love with my TempurPedic. also in love with my duvet that I found on Amazon! Duvets can be pretty pricy, but I found this one for around $34.99 and it’s just as cozy as ones you would find at stores like Bed Bath & Beyond for at least triple the price. You also can’t have a duvet without a cover! I also found this on Amazon for around 30 bucks and it’s so soft.

(Pro tip: order one save larger than your bed. Ex: Queen size bed, order king size duvet. Thank me later.)
Space Saving Hangers
These hangers have really changed the game when it comes to making extra space in my closet. Even when I eventually have more closet space, I’ll still be keeping these around!

Throw Blanket

Throw blankets are the cozy essential to every home. Laying on the couch? Always have to have a throw. And you can never have too many blankets! I will always get excited when someone gets me a blanket as a gift. My favorite throw has to be the Ugg Duffield that Josh got me for Christmas one year. I’ve slept with it almost every night since! I found the throw I keep on my couch on Amazon for around $20 and I feel like it really ties all of my living room decor together.

PLANTS
Ok so they may not be ~essential~, but I honestly feel like plants really just make a home look a little more put together. Unfortunately, I do not have a green thumb… I can’t keep plants alive. There is no shame in the fake plant game! I have fake plants all around my apartment and I’m always on the hunt for more. After all, you can never have too many.
My plants come from everywhere! Ikea, Big Lots, Marshalls, Walmart, Amazon, etc. The only one I’ve ordered online is my large palm.

I hope you enjoyed reading about a few of my home essentials! Do you have any items that you just can’t picture your home without? I’d love to hear about them. Thanks for reading!

I also advocate for reusable grocery bags! Let’s refrain from using plastic bags. I am also planning to buy some plants, but maybe the small ones like cactus or succulents.
