Change is good. Sometimes, change is necessary. It’s what helps us grow and keeps life interesting. I’ve been trying to change up some of my habits into healthier ones that I want to share with you! Here are 5 healthy habits that I’ve been working on lately – keep on reading!


Staying hydrated is so important. Did you know that our bodies are around 60% water? I’ve been pushing myself to drink at least 72-96 oz a day and I have to say, I’ve noticed changes in my body. Here are 4 reasons why you should drink more water!
– reduced brain fog
– helps improve/clear skin
– can help with weight loss
– aids overall health
I can attest to each reason being true in my case. I just feel much better when I drink enough water. Try it out – you won’t regret it!


Taking time for yourself, physically and mentally, is important. Whether it’s reading a book, taking a long shower, listening to a podcast, or just watching a movie – find something that helps you unplug from the real world for a little while. Taking care of yourself should never be put on the back burner. You’ll feel so much better after than you did before!


Stop spending so much time sitting on the couch! Go for a walk, join an exercise class or put on a video, stretch at home. When you’re physically active, you feel more productive. Plus it’s good for you to not be sitting around all the time. Set a step goal (mine is 10k a day) and get to moving!


Find something to do in your spare time that you love! I personally love DIY projects, reading new books, and blogging. I’ve also been trying to cook more but this hobby/habit hasn’t really been able to stick yet. Having a positive outlet for your energy is such a good feeling.


This has been the most important and most difficult habit to keep up with. I am the queen of overthinking, over-analyzing, and driving myself crazy over the smallest things. Keeping calm and trying to go with the flow is easier said than done, but the mental peace that comes along with it is priceless. In the end, everything will be fine.

  1. It’s funny how some of these habits can be so simple, but difficult to implement in our own lives. I’m way too guilty with just relaxing. I feel like I need to constantly find something to do! Thanks for reminding me of these habits!
