Since 2019 is almost over, I’m just taking some time to reflect on this past year. While it’s been a tough one, I’ve definitely learned so much about myself and this crazy thing we call adulting. Here are 19 things that I learned in 2019:
1: Prioritize your mental health.
2: Do your skincare every night.
3: Drink more water.
4: Hold yourself accountable.
5: Just go ahead and do it.
6: Get enough sleep.
7: Fold your laundry immediately.
8: Appreciate the little things.
9: Invest in good bras and good shoes.
10: Don’t overthink so much.
11: Cook more, order out less.
12: Having mental reset days are a necessity.
13: Just go ahead and wash your hair.
14: You can’t always please everyone.
15: Keep up with your car’s maintenance.
16: It’s ok to say no if you’re not feeling it.
17: Time is the most valuable thing.
18: Every detail is not needed on social media.
19: Don’t be afraid of change.
This year went by so fast, and for me, it was a tough one. I struggled a lot in 2019: physically, mentally, and emotionally. I am exhausted. Don’t get me wrong: I also had a lot of great experiences this year! I think that overall, the biggest lesson I’ve learned this year is to appreciate the good times and to quit obsessing over the bad. I have so much to be thankful for, and my goal for 2020 is to not let the negative overshadow that.
Here’s to kicking off the new year with good vibes!

I def need to remind myself these. Infact I should print these out and put it in my room. I will need these reminders.

Mental health and making it a priority is so important. The stigma around mental health is unfortunate. We gotta do better. Have a FABULOUS 2020!

Love this! While I can relate to almost everything, this one speaks the loudest to me: “every detail is not needed on social media.” Other than my blogging accounts, I’ve pretty much stopped using social media this year too. It just seems so pointless. That may sounds weird considering I have a blog of my own, haha, but to me there’s a huge difference between posting what you want on your own website and posting on social media for the people around you to see where you are at life. I don’t care much for the latter. I’d rather keep private things private, so to speak. 🙂
